This year, e canoeists' cny gathering was held at Lester's house.

Despite my repeated reminders to others asking them not to be late, I was still slightly late. Bleah... N to add on to that, e turnout was bad. It was a good 10 minutes walk to Lester's house from e mrt station. And guess what? Half way thru e walk, it started to pour.

When we finally reached Lester's house, we were all drenched. We squirmed uneasily in our wet attires and Lester offered to lend us his clothes. We had to change out of our pretty clothes to Lester's home clothes. Aghh... E rain sort of ruined our mood and i thought e gathering was a flop. =(

Or so i thought.

When we sat down for steamboat, i suddenly realised dat it was been a really long time since we last had steamboat together. (We used to do dat after every com). We ate a lot of food and e size of e POT itself as spectacular. Haha... Super big. And we had a Good laugh seeing so many of us in Lester's clothes. Hahahaha...

When shin came later and saw mi, he was lye"Hey, whose shorts are u wearing huh?!" O_o

More and more ppl came. Many of em drove there and some of lived nearby walked to Lester's house with an umbrella. I was quite touched leh... really. They came despite e HEAVY rain and i really appreciate their presence. Pretty happy to see some of e guys whom i have not seen in a long time. =) In e end, only 3 guys absent themselves. Including Jeanne who had to attend a 21st b-day party; and Shujuan who was down with fever.

I played mahjong with e guys and Lester's gf- You Zhen and lost money. Sobs...

However, i cannot emphasise enough how rude and irresponsible it is to promise to come, and in e end not turn up.

Yes, i am pissed, GREATLY. I understand that people have their priorities. If u dun feel lye going for certain events, fine... it's ur own choice. But i didn't make e assumption dat u're coming... it's u who TOLD mi dat u're coming. Put yourself in e organiser's shoe.

I dun expect any gratification for planning, But i haf stated clearly in many of my msges dat if u haf to inform mi if u cannot make it.

I am very tempted to not even inform them for up-coming gatherings.
