I had good grades... SO WHAT??

This afternoon, i went to sch's office. I wanted my exam scripts back. N i also wan an analysis on e results... As in, my percentile, how i fared comparative to my cohot. Reason? I wan to apply as a transfer student into local uni. I thought my grades help mi a little bit. Or so i thought.

There was no way i can get back e scripts. Cos they were (locked up?) in UK. Fine...

So, I asked 4 an assessment on my results. I was told dat i had to appeal directly to Uni of London in UK. So SIM is juz an institute huh? It can't even help us on issues lye dat? It sounds so absurd after i paid so much sch fees.

Okie... Nvm... i'm so fucking used to their way of doing things. Den, e personel informed mi dat there was no gurantee dat UOL will assess my results. N students who tried doing dat in previous yrs hasn't been successful. Following which, i was SHOCKED to hear dat e appeal comes wif a charge of 50 pounds (S$150)

WAd?? I need to pay a hefty price YET my request may not be granted? I dun even understand WHY we haven haf to pay. Hello? Isn't it reasonable 4 a uni to analyse their students' academic performance? Moreover, 1 exam paper per subject cOst ard 500 bucks ald.

I'm so fucking pissed when i left e sch.

Yes, i know i dun make e cut cos my A's aren't gd enough. Ya...

But, why is every local uni bend on becoming "world class", "no. ### in e world", in e process make themselves so competitve?

N thousands of locals students cannot pursue a local degree? (Even e age-limit of S'pore uni is at 21yrs)

N e funniest ting is, they rather give e places to i-dunno-how-many-hundreds of foreign students. Oh ya... they are scholars WAD...

We local students in turn haf den got no choice but 2 pursue foreign degrees?

How ridiculous...

Getting good results in SIM means nothing u know? It's NOT because e degree is easy. It's bcos everybody tinks it's easy. I've heard this line a no. of times:
"If u can get a First Class Honours in SIM, den u're on par on local grads"

I wan to peel their mouths off. Excuse mi? Wad makes u tink dat a UK degree is easier den a local one? Does dat mean dat i need to haf a Phd to be beta den em?

Yes, i know my degree is gd. So? E rest of my tiny S'pore do not tink so. N my future employers? HAHA. Wad else can i tink?

Who can i blame? Ya... MYSELF. For being stupid.
